Here's directions to Paint Island Spring.
Take Rt. 537 N to Paint Island Spring Road. The best way of getting to 537 is going to be I-195, exit 16 (Great Adventure).
Make a left onto Paint Island Spring road, follow the road through past the intersection of Brookside Road. You'll go up a slight hill, and then see a bridge as the road turns. Park on the right hand side of the road by the wooden fence.
About 20' down towards the river you will see the spring. It is to the right of the river, almost directly behind one of the fenceposts.
