gps question

When I try putting in the coords for pizza queen I can put them in but 39.6 my gps only goes up to 5 so I cannot input the 6 are they the right coords 39.6920 70.5039? Or am I doing something wrong? I never had any problems before. Thanks Dave..

Your GPS is probably calibrated for degrees/minutes/seconds and those coordinates were degrees/decimal minutes. There are 60 seconds in a minute, so multiply the number to the right of the decimal point by 60 to convert. So, for example 39.6920 minutes would equal

.6920 x 60 = 41.52

39 minutes 41.52 seconds

Your GPS may have a menu option to choose between the different formats so you won't have to do the math, see your instruction book.
