I was just informed by my dad that Bob Peterson, South Jersey historian and author of "Patriots, Pirates and Pineys", died early this morning. He woke up with chest pains, the EMT's were called, but they couldn't save his life. He was 47 and had 7 kids. My dad knew him because he was principal ("headmaster") of the Christian school run by their church in Egg Harbor City. He also wrote a weekly news article on South Jersey history for the Egg Harbor News.
I cannot believe this. It just doesn't seem possible.

Just think that is next year for me! My dad and his dad died of a heart attack. Makes me want to spend more time in the pines.

Sorry to hear about this. Especially sorry for the kids without their dad.
