It's mentioned quite a bit in the Weymouth Furnace Diary.

I remember reading in John Parnes book "Canoeing the jersey Pine barrens" when I was canoeing the Great Egg River (Never went upstream to pennypost which is on Hospitality Branch myself) That theirs an old teak wood (whatever that is?) dam thats well over a hundred years old holding back the pond.I believe it"s the original dam still there.what was there? a mill?I don"t remember if he said in the book but he said the dam is the original.
