i know there is more than one cat in south jersey. on 3/19/10 my husband and i were walking a sand road in the great swamp near the mullica river. there were tracks from about 4 or 5 deer where they crossed the road together. in among the deer tracks were cat prints. it looked like the cat was following the deer. all tracks were recent. the other item in the photo is the end of a treking pole

Looks more like a dog or canine track than a cat track. This link explains it well.

there were no toe nail with these tracks. there were dog tracks walking along the trail, 2 sets a small possibly beagls size and a larger set, lab size. These went up the trail along with people tracks.

the cat tracks came across the trail along side the deer tracks and continued into the woods. tracks were definately cat.
