4/25/10 Mud in the Pines season opener

Sunday the 25th of April will be our season opener. 200 foot hill and hole, 160 ft flat track, 200 foot beater car race.
This will be the beginning of the points series as well. 100% payout as of this race we will only be running open and pro stock classes. $50 entry fee for open $25 for prostock. I'll leave it up to the drivers hopw they want the payout split.
for more info give me a call (856)-207-0816.
for those of you that don't know what Hill and Hole racing is, here a link.

for those that don't know what a flat track is, heres a link

for those that don't know what beater car racing is heres some pics

the neat thing about this is all you need is a car with a seat belt, helmet, gogles, gloves, a neck brace and $20
I will be having a points series for this as well. Winner will take 100% of the entry fees. if we have 10 cars and you win you get $200. Junkyards will usually give you a car to run if you paint their name on the side (spraypaint). then take the car back to them when they are done and they can still get their scrap value for it.

Sounds great, mudboy dave! Gotta find me a neck brace!

Looking forward to meeting you and Courtney at Lines on the Pines.

$100 added to beater car purse. Find a junker on craigslist thats messed up or no title and run. so the payout will be $100 + 100% payout of the ntry fees, so figure if there are 10 cars and you come in first... you're walking away with $350

As far as the beater car racing goes. blaceys located only about 5 miles from the track will let you use a running car/truck/van/ice cream truck for the event as long as you spray paint their name down the side of the vehicle and bring the vehicle back to them when you are done. I think I'm getting an Ice cream truck and will see how it jumps lol.
if interested their number is 609 758 1919 ask for Tom

The beater cars are going to be neat. figure a 300ft flat track with 2 2 foot hills added in, get to the 300 foot mark, whip around a loader tire and come back. fastest time takes all. Nice part is if you have a trailer or a freind with a trailer, the car will be free from blaceys and all you have to pay is gas money and the $25 entry fee. I've tried to keep this cheap so everyone can have fun and i believe i succeeded.

Quick change of plans, the beater car racing will be side by side done in elimination style. winner takes the pot.
So figure the track will be between 200 and 300 foot long, 2 lanes, there will be 2 2 ft tall hills. at the end of the track there will be a loader tire, you will do a 180 around that and come back and finish where you started. You win you go to the next round.

I noticed you discovered gonedragracing.com. I'm pretty good friends with the guys who run the site, I'll tell Seth the photographer to cover your event. He is a good guy! Good luck!

Thanks all is appreciated. Looks like I may even have coverage on Speed channel for my September event. I'm pretty sure we will be paying a $8000 purse for that event as well. This is really turning out good. I can't wait for it to start and possibly some yalls faces in the stands too. One thing I want people to know is not one cent of this goes into my pocket for enjoyable spending. I invest all if back into the sport. Right now I'm looking at a timing system from Race America and unfortunately the cheapest one is over $3000. Each breathing body that comes to these events helps the sport grow and the payouts to increase. With increasing payouts you can bet there will be less people tearing up the Pines on the days of my events.

It also looks like I'm going to have 2 beater cars delivered and taken away the day of the event. I'll be raffeling of tickets for a chance to use one of these cars to race. So literally you can come to the event. Pay $10 for the ticket and end up racing. The Towing company supplying these cars is going to want them to win so his name is seen in the spotlight. So if you win your chance to race and then win the race, theres a good chance you could be walking away with the pot. It's looking like close to 20 cars entering as of now, this brings the prize up to $600 for whoever wins.

I was seriously considering it, but my friend asked me to do a charity walk in Pennsylvania that day. Maybe next year. Springs are usually chock-a-block!
