On the way home from the pines today Jessica noticed this out in a corn field. It kept looking down and every once in a while flap its wings like it had caught something. This actually is not in the pines and in a location that I would not expect to see one. And it is right next to the farm house not in view.

It looks like there are. I wonder if it was hit by a car, dragged there by something, and the eagle is taking the leftovers.

I think the deer is rather clear. Cool shots Guy. I think Ben Franklin was the one who wanted the turkey rather than the eagle as our national symbol, citing the eagles bad temperment and tendancy to feed on carrion.
