Still Trying To Solve Issues With My Car One Year Later

Good luck Guy. I suspected CV joints when I asked you back in post #58. CV joints are horrible and don't belong on any vehicle that sees time in the woods, in my opinion. They barely belong on an ATV. Another reason I would never own a Chevy truck. Both of my Ford F-350's have solid axle tubes...

    Beer (again)

Good brew Bob. Bells was not distributed in NJ until maybe 10 years ago. I was glad to see that happen. I used to get it from my buddy whose daughter lived in SC. I rated it 3.75 out of 5 on Untappd If you ever have the opportunity, try their Hopslam Imperial Double IPA. A walloping 10%er that...

Still Trying To Solve Issues With My Car One Year Later

Thank you Bob, that is a very generous offer. We should be okay though. Dottie can use either of my trucks since she can drive a stick. She doesn't like the size of the white truck and doesn't like driving a stick but she does fine with it.. I am hoping this should only last 6-8 weeks tops and...

Still Trying To Solve Issues With My Car One Year Later

I hope your problem is solved Guy! It's good to see people still working on their own stuff. As you know, I'm facing rotator cuff surgery in about three weeks. So, I just bought all the stuff I need for an oil change in my '97 F-350, a diesel fuel filter change on my '02 F-350 and an oil...

Still Trying To Solve Issues With My Car One Year Later

What would be the purpose of rubber mounting a differential Guy? That seems crazy. Both of my F-350's have straight iron axle tubes front and rear and are anchored to leaf springs. Any drivetrain movement is managed by greaseable u-joints on the driveshafts. Hopefully the new mounts fix the...

Ben’s (not Roosay) Wilderness Formula Repellent

Used the Ben’s Friday night sitting outside the house. Inconclusive because there didn’t seem to be many mosquitoes to start with. It did repel the few that did a fly-by. Used it on the beach yesterday against greenheads and it worked well. I wouldn’t buy it again just because of the faulty...

Ben’s (not Roosay) Wilderness Formula Repellent

Well, here’s my first negative finding. It is almost impossible to get the thing to spray. You have to rotate the cap so that it aligns with the spray nozzle and then push down on the nozzle. It literally needs about 20 pounds of pressure to get it to barely dribble. Maybe it has a prostate. ??

Ben’s (not Roosay) Wilderness Formula Repellent

Has anyone tried Ben’s Tick and Insect Repellent, Wilderness Formula? My wife decided to buy two cans for $17 to try it out. She read an article somewhere that said it was really good stuff. It’s 30% DEET and 70% questionable materials. I always try to use repel which is 40% DEET. I’m gonna try...

Exploring The Mines Spung Fire Area

Agreed Bob. That is very sad to see. To perish by fire is horrible. Everyone knows I’m not a fan of snakes but I would never wish that on any animal.

Deforestation: Voorhees developer wants to build on wooded land next to Evesham's Black Run Preserve.

I just received the attached Memo in work a few minutes ago. Interestingly, there is a proposal to change the Black Run Watershed Pinelands Management area designation to Forest from the current, Rural Development. They better hurry up.

Deforestation: Voorhees developer wants to build on wooded land next to Evesham's Black Run Preserve.

The maximum wetlands buffer for development projects within the nine Pinelands Management Areas is 300 feet. There are two avenues for reducing the buffer, which include seeking a Waiver of Strict Compliance, under very specific conditions, or working through the Pinelands Buffer Delineation...

Big Fire Near The Boot Camp

About twenty or more years ago, I started frequenting the area around Bulldozer Road and Mannis Duck Pond, back when NJFW first instituted the Coyote-Fox predator season. That season runs from January 1 to March 15 every year. I clearly remember the State's routered wood signs high in the trees...
