wow thanks Boyd, very cool, so it looks like the plant did indeed extend all the way to the area I have. I assume there was a road or railway through there and the hole I found was for sewer or water access. Unless it was a bunker or something.

Just got a new deer lease down in Mullica off of Elwood road and while scouting it out, there are lots of old roads (now just paths) and what appears to be steep hills (embankments) and old depressions that may have been foundations. I think its a bit far from amatol track to have been part of...

Thanks Rednek, makes sense that is the location of Mount. As an aside, do you or anyone know of any maps available online that show these old towns? I have been hunting South Jersey for years and am starting to wonder just how much history I am driving by all the time.

On a related (or not) note I have been hearing alot more coyotes than normal this year while bowhunting... Not that they are a threat but its another thing to keep your eye on.
