    Tar Kiln Locations?

    It was Richard Mattox who bought the Blue Anchor tavern (and tract) in 1762. He sold the property to his son in law, Josiah Albertson who married Richard's daughter Elizabeth. Their son David was the one who built the Spring Garden Inn located in Ancora.

    Pine Tavern in Sooy Place.

    There is a marker there. It doesn't provide much information. I was digging around online and found this on the Library of Congress site. https://www.loc.gov/item/nj0372/ I'm wondering if that is the same place and curious of when it was torn down.
