James Adam Taylor

I grew up in Williamstown, as child I spent a good portion of my time exploring the woods behind my home in the Winslow Wildlife Management area. I followed the for miles and miles, explored the Squankum branch and many of the ponds and swamps in the area. The Pine Barrens has always been a special place to me, It's where I learned to love the nature and appreciate that land could be preserved for our enjoyment and as a safe haven for plants and animals.

The last few years I have been living in the Pacific northwest, but often find myself talking about the beauty and weirdness of the Pine Barrens, from the Pitch pines and oaks to the sandy soils, and that pond where pitcher plants and sundews digest insects among root beer colored water. Not to mention the blue hole.
