    NJ Camping

They will only wave the fee IF you go in person on the actual day your camping. Again the state is not in good hands, otherwise that 9.25 fee would go right to the state and parks but it doesnt. some Jerk who runs a crapy web site is making a mint off of the states! I have a meeting next wed...

    NJ Camping

Ok, got more of a scoop. All 100% of the $9.25 charge goes to ReserveAmerica.com None of it goes to the state. Only the $6.00 state fee goes to Wharton. That means 61% of the fee goes to some stupid website! For this year only, if you register in person and only on the day your actually camping...

I have camped at least 7-8 times a year if not more in Wharton for the past 10-12 years. today I called up to reserve and pay for a site for this coming weekend and was told to now go online and register. Ok thats not a problem as i can see it being easier which it was. However, the normal $3.00...

    Feral Dogs

There are some still around. I see them every so often once or twice a year mainly in winter months when they rome more for food. Also a bit of coyotes around too. They are a bit smaller and ragety though. When it snows watch for tracks. If you see usually a single or pair of tracks its usually...

I still am shaking my head at what i saw today!

Not even close. I've seen bobcats in nj, pa, ny and maine over the years. This was no bobcat. More like a 100 to 125lbs cougar looked exactly like what is in the picture above. No mistake.

Good pictures Dave, I would have to say the one on the left is a bobcat for sure. the one on the right, since there is nothing inthe picture to compare it too i would say ither a bobcat or wild dog. Reason being is that it is very semetrical and appears to have nail tips in the ends. Cats tend...

You are correct. cougars are normally a solo predator. However. When they are with young they will stay together for an extended period of time. Sometimes an extra year or so. Pine barrens are small but there is enough wood land between forests to support quit a few of theseanimals. I have spent...

I was out at a job site with my dad this morningout off of 563. On my way home around 9:30am, i decided to take Speedwell rd over to Caranza to cut off a few miles and for a nice little ride.
