Hello all! I'm pretty excited to finally have an account - I've been exploring this site for months now. I'm really interested in the history and abandoned places of the Pine Barrens. I've grown up off Moss Mill Rd most of my life, camping on Oswego Lake, exploring the woods as a kid, etc. and this website has helped me learn so much more!

I'm very interested in any type of "hidden gems", if you will, that I would be able to explore/learn more about.

Either way, thanks again for the approval! I look forward to learning more!

thank you! It's so crazy how many things you don't know are right around you. The pine barrens have many hidden secrets. :)

Welcome aboard! Check out my free maps if you haven't already done so. They are compatible with over two dozen apps on Windows, Macs, Linux, Android and iOS. This one is full of "hidden gems" - historical places and buildings that no longer exist.

This new LIDAR based map also reveals many things that you won't find anywhere else

Not that I remember. They look like slabs of cedar shoved into the ground. The stones around them are from the 1800's so I assume these are the same age.Cedar and Cypress really last forever it seems.
