That's a shame. I remember having dinner there with my parents many many times over the year. Looked at having our wedding there too. What is really odd, is how the DOT says, according to the article, that the widening of the road would not affect the Tavern. So why did it have to come down?
I used to really enjoy sitting in the old booths in the tavern and feeling the history. For a while they had that big oak barrel as the entrance.
Then again I remember going to the old Community theatre and then the Dover when it opened, and matinees with shows (if you could call it that) before the movie. sorry when I start strolling down memory lane I can really wander. ;-)
