They definitely dont burn like they used too. Whole big blocks woukd be burnt which is good for the pines. Now they barely burn the leaves off the ground. Guy did they burn just the big field at howardsville?

Nice pics. There is no shortage of downed trees right now. Was out driving and hiking this past weekend and they were everywhere.

Washington Tpke 745 acre thinning bid

I think the road is perfectly fine the way it is. No reason to go cutting down more trees and tearing up perfectly good woods.

    Advice on waterproof boots?

Can't beat lacrosse or Irish setters. Your mucks are probably fine just got to break them in. Big rubber boots are harder than hikers to break in. I have a pair of cableas 800 gram boots and like them. I am hell on boots like Scott and his son. Whatever you do not store them folded. Made that...

    Interactive Pinelands Map

That's the problem around the country new jersey especially. We keep clearing and building. Sooner or later they are going to run out of land to build stuff on. I hope I win PowerBall cause I would start buying up land and managing it for proper habitat. I would especially buy anything I could...

    illegal dumping page for NJDEP

Saw this posted on another site. Thought I would share here. I am all for putting these people's faces information out there. I hope they get the maximum fines each case. Hopefully word spreads and people will stop destroying our lands especially the pines...

    Can't view images

I can't see a lot of pics on my work computer. I frequent quite a few forums. It all depends what site or storage place the individual user uploads the image from. Drives me batty but then I just walk outside look at it on my phone and all is well.

I always liked this area as well. Wish the old Clayton club was still there. I only heard stories from members of it.

Man Goes Missing During Hunting Trip

Redneck good observation. However the club in which Barry hunted with barely drives any longer. They do small pieces in vicinity of their clubhouse. Guy is correct that is a survey line or boundary. Guy I would still report this to the proper authorities as he may have been wearing them...

    Are Coyotes a threat?

I spend alot of time in the woods. I have seen coyotes and heard them howl at very close distances. It can be a bit unnerving. Like others said they are more afraid of you then you are of them. Their numbers have boomed since the late 90s. Saw my first pair in 97 at Coyle airfield. Now they...

    Where is this?

Bob I do not know anything about them. I have only driven by them. I have only met one guy from buckaroo. He was stuck at the big hole on Stephenson road. I was on my way to Lucilles and drove by him on Jenkins road. A friend and I said that didn't look right. So we backed up. poor guy was sunk...
