    Park Rangers Vs. Park Police

My personal experience with Park Police is while they have not been rude they seem to not know much about the woods their patrolling.I think they are made up of people looking for a job and not people with environmental knowledge out to help the forest. One experience I had was quite comical...

    Road Conditions

Another hint is if you see tire tracks go in at one spot and the same tracks come out at another spot it's a good bet thats a good route especially if they appear to be normal tires not Godzilla Mud tires. Still worth checking that route from Track to track with a stick and rubber boots

    Russel's Crossing

I used to drive that road all the time. They closed it I believe basically because they can and for no other reason,It"s not near the rattlers. It used to be part of my 50 mile dirt road drive.took four hours and nary a black top road was touched.
