Pine Barrens Exhibition at the Noyes Museum

Now I have an even more compelling reason to visit the museum. 46'er piqued my interest a few weeks ago with his post regarding the Noyes Museum. Thanks Jerseyman and 46'er !

    Duck and Cover Baby !

Good point. Haven't seen it happen myself but I have heard a few stories about people bow hunting State Forests on Sunday thinking they were legal.

    A Mink Caching Food w/Video

While enjoying a cold and uneventful muzzleloader hunt yesterday afternoon, I was entertained for about twenty minutes by a mink working a stream edge. Someone had apparently killed a deer a day or two earlier and had placed the gut pile in this shallow stream to try and minimize the disturbance...

Millville 1956 Levoy Presents Your Town

Yes Al, 1956 was too early for it to be an Indian running the corner store. :D

A funny angle on the same song. I really can hear what he appears to be singing.

    Snapper Survey

The commercial permit for snappers is a little worrisome to me Bob. There is a discretionary bag limit and the NJFW reviews each permit individually and decides whether or not to issue it. They are not fast growers or prolific producers and I think the 3 per day recreational bag is plenty. Here...

    Duck and Cover Baby !

First, Guy, check this map and see where you will be. http://www.state.nj.us/dep/fgw/pdf/2012/dighnt48-49.pdf Then go here and a look at what deer seasons are open. http://www.state.nj.us/dep/fgw/pdf/2014/regsets14-15.pdf What I consider as the heart of the pines (Zones 21, 23 and 24) have...

    High Crossing never disappoints

Near there but I believe all of these pics are along the regularly used road to High Crossing that remains open. "Quarter Mile" is a the closed area and it is a little west of this. It can be accessed from High Crossing.

    Santa, I want one

That would probably be very useful for parents of young kids on long drives too. Instead of the classic backhand dealt swiftly from the front seat, you could have the cables connected to the car seat and with the push of a button, ZAAAP ! No more whining for the rest of the ride. :)

Atlantic County tax increase would bail out casinos

AC is a dump and always will be a dump. The city has one corridor of fake glitz surrounded by blocks of faded glory, crumbling buildings and a boardwalk whose storefront vendors look like they belong on a terrorist watch list. And lest I forget, plenty of this...

    Duck and Cover Baby !

Congrats again Chris, you are a good hunter. As for coyotes, they appear to be very mobile in my area. Haven't cut many tracks lately down here but I do have some areas in mind not too far away for some permit hunts come January.
