Old Sandstone Mine on the 1870 Vermeule Topo Map

The very northern area of the large disturbed area Bob and Ron visited, and I visited today, was owned in 1984 by someone named S. Baron. That is Block 79 Lot 6. I will work on finding more info. I have other info but it does not correspond to other things I am seeing so I won't post it as my...

    An assault on our rights

Okay. It looks bigger I believe because they dug away the ground around it to fix it. At least it seems that way.

Prince Place Road .... How It Got It's Name.

Prince may have owned other property around there but I have not checked yet. Remember the cess pool or well we passed by nearby in a different area? Could have been from them or someone else had a home as well.

Prince Place Road .... How It Got It's Name.

All, I am pretty certain of how Prince Place Road in Bass River got it's name. I was researching the Highland Park Field And Stream gun club property along Prince Place Road on the Ives Branch and noticed a few things. First, the PPA has owned the property since March 19, 2020. They paid...

That has been repaired. It is much bigger and higher. Nice! Maybe it looks bigger because of the new wood.

    Cellphone outage

Jessica texted me around 6AM and asked if I had any issues. Both of us have not had a problem. And nobody here at work has complained.

    Are E-bikes motorized vehicles?

I was in Philly today and an electric unicycle, or whatever they are called, was flying down Market street. He looked like he was an expert on it because he was relaxed as can be. It really looks unsafe being on one and he did not have a helmet on.

    Indian Chief Tavern

If you remember in the newspaper article when it was sold that the previous owner was happy that the grocery store owner next door had purchased it and would be using it for his business. That never happened. However, maybe it is.

    Stone Searching Fall/Winter 2023-2024

I figured I would throw this info into this thread. My YouTube site is attached to my IslandTee email address and I am logged into it all the time. Recently, I had to log into Google on my TeeGate name and all seemed well. The other day I realized the Google had created a new channel for me...

    An assault on our rights

It is the bridge that Ted Gordon got a flat tire on and he could not jack the car so he called me. I drove all the way there and changed it and on the way out a thunderstorm of thunderstorms hit when we made it to Harrisville. The nails were all sticking out because the wood was gone.

I agree, So if the owner wanted to get to their property the state would have to give them access.

    An assault on our rights

I just checked and the state tax map shows it being green which usually means the state owns the lot. However, I see no record of the state acquiring it since 1986 when Betty Bloomer acquired it from Arthur Bloomer so I still believe it is in private hands. They would have to fix the bridge in...

    An assault on our rights

If it is the Buck Run bridge that is a problem. I think the FFS would want to know. And there is a piece of private property up there and they need to have access even if they don't go there. I will check and see if the state has acquired it since the last time I looked.
