    Stafford Forge Target Range Clean-up

I just did a recon of the shotgun range. Not too bad with shells but the trash is windblown all over and much more than last year. I am very pro gun, but this place should be closed if the people who use it abuse it so. Be it known, whoever put up the notices about the cleaning, one of the signs...

    Pine Barrens Caretakers Meeting Date???

Unfortunately beer is a major problem. No one wants to get stopped with empties in their car, especially under age, so that just encourages people out of fear to toss them away. When, if given the choice, they would probably take them home and put in their own garbage. Unfortunately most of this...

    Pine Barrens Caretakers Meeting Date???

I already do this. I carry a box of garbage bags in my car and fill one up every other trip out. It is heartbreaking to see a spot I have cleaned up littered a week later with a 12 pack of beer. My interest would only be to team up and clean areas together. I have no faith in government to...

    Stafford Forge Target Range Clean-up

Honestly there is one can there that gets filled up. Then people just put there boxes against the can and expect it to get picked up like any other "park" garbage can. Then on a windy day it spreads all over. If they had the can picked up once a week it might be better there but that is miles...

    Stafford Forge Target Range Clean-up

I have been there when guys are out there farming brass. I also made a formal complaint about the garbage to the DEP last year. They could not do anything. No one wants to put a dumpster there as it would be a spot for dead pets and other more malicious drop offs. All of the garbage there is...

From Oswego lake to Warren Grove

OK - Thanks. After a rain I avoid Beaver Dam, but I make it out to the preserve a few days a week without a problem. Does Jenkins have any areas of sugar sand?

From Oswego lake to Warren Grove

My question is, can you make it without four wheel drive on Jenkins Road?

    controlled burns

I felt surrounded by fires today. I snapped this from 539 as helicopters trained at the range in the smoke of a controlled burn near Forge Road.

I was painting a picture of wishful thinking, indeed.

    900 homes to be built

+1 Robert Frosts', "Nothing Gold Can Stay", comes to mind. All exponential growth models have a tragic end. Our country has not been around long enough to see this type of cycle through (except maybe buffalo furs). I wrote a letter to the Pinelands Commission when they proposed building on...

    The downward spiral continues.....

Government, et al, will have to drastically change (shrink) as the tax revenue they depend on fall off precipitously. Inventing new taxes or increasing existing ones to make up the shortfalls will only exacerbate the problems for J6P. What if the states had all the money we send to the federal...

    Reflections Around Warren Grove

Another interesting feature of that area is the topography. There is a ten meter elevation difference between the road and the stream where I marked it. I have read several references to aerials from '31 to '95. Is there a link or resource for these?

    Reflections Around Warren Grove

No. I drive a black minivan. Yesterday I was down Grays/Micaja Road. I tired my dogs out.

    Reflections Around Warren Grove

A collection of reflections over the past 6 months or so. Some are inverted for effect/composition. I snapped the last two pictures today and decided to make a gallery. Enjoy. Reflections

    Out of Sight

OMG! THIS IS A LAME IDEA! That is the Shotgun training area where I run my dogs. I will be even more upset if they try to put it there. I think the transfer station should go on the median of the parkway somewhere.
