DEP Announces Virtual Public Meeting to Launch Wharton State Forest Visitor and Vehicle Use Survey

I don't know if it was officially canceled but the Batona Camp is jammed with 4 wheeling happy campers with dogs and children. As I was driving home there were many more coming down Carranza Road. It looks like fun; I'd like to join them.

    Seafood in the Pines

I tried Westminister crackers from Amazon. Good, small, not hard and get soggy quickly. The box has 150 small bags.:eek::eek::eek: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0025L1TZC?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1

    Where is this?

In the concrete rubble there is something written when the concrete was wet. It would take some effort to expose it all. It might be a fun project.

    Where is this?

A bit of local lore: If you walk toward the Skit from that spot, you will cross a concrete raceway. Continue along the dam, it ends. Locally it is called The Breached Causeway and I was told it was dynamited.

    Eggs in the Pines

I love them. My wife makes them using dried mustard. I like them hot, but like you Bob, my body has been revolting. It used to be if I got it past my mouth, I never heard from it again. I mentioned the olives and she said it would work. I put in my request for New Years.

    Seafood in the Pines

My father introduced me to them, he gave me so much and I never realized it at the time. He keeps on giving. He died in 1978. :smug:

    Where is this?

We locals call it the dog park. It is used for many activities. Decorating trees is an annual event. The NJFFS cuts them down when they encounter them. The field is burnt every March, sort of sterilizing it but apparently the ants survive. There is a group of wierdos from Connecticut that come...
