    1st of the season

The winds have shifted to the west now, which would spread any smoke eastward; but I see no smoke plume on that hazard map. Maybe the rain cleared it. However, it looks like Central America and Cuba are burning up

    Bass River Fire Tower proposal

I think Cedar Bridge had a much better view of this fire.

    Stump grinding

Where are you located? I have a local tree guy that is very reasonable, used him many times. He'll be taking out some dead pines for me, beetle casualties, charge is $300 for the largest and grinding a stump is definitely not going to be anywhere near that, unless the tree has to come down...

    Guess Who ?

A big disappointment for me was the transformation of Auermuller after his move to Wharton. When he was at IBSP and Barnegat Light his focus was always for providing fair consideration for the general public, not special interest groups. The state put him in the corner for a while, but...

    Guess Who ?

The PPA hat I bought when attending their annual plant sale now sits on a shelf. Nice hat, and the plants are flourishing. Too bad their message has turned so sour. They have become much to obstructionist for my support and we dropped our family membership some time ago.

This may be Momma, twas in the same area. Note the Hummmmmmmmingbird on the attack :D Tough little bird, kept the dive bombing up for some time. Undisturbed.

    Guess Who ?

I don't believe I ever met someone that wasn't. But their is a BIG difference between the two sides. The PPA'ers believe with all their heart that the only way to manage the Pines is THEIR way; there is no other option. Simply put, they want to be in control. Mr. Horner is a shining example...

    Guess Who ?

The thing about certain 501c(3)'s is if there is no drum to beat, they tend to fade away. That is simply why there is always a drum, most times a perceived drum, that gets beat to a pulp.

Thanks, you are too kind. A couple more you will appreciate, all taken in the Yellowstone with my son's doing the catching. My largest catch ever there was a Bison
