Yes, that is the bird! Very bright color, it was practically glowing in the sunshine.

While driving through the woods today I saw a bird that I have never seen before. It was about the size of a BlueJay but it's entire torso was bright red and the wings were dark, maybe black. I can't remember the head color. It darted around too much for me to get a photo.

When I work in North and West Philadelphia I see more dirt bikes and quads than when I'm in the woods in Jersey!

Yesterdays were along the N.Branch of the Rancocas. Todays were in Whitesbog, the one in the middle is Drosera filiformis resdy to bloom.
