Yes Bob, that nails it! I was attracted to the Gardner family history. John and Ruth Gardener were neighbors and friends. Ruth died a few years ago and John last August. Johns father, Hobart, owned the Shady Rest Liquor Store on 206, now Scoots.
Anyone know where this is?

In the late 1800’s Congressman John Gardner purchased land near Edgepillock Lake in what is known today as Shamong Township, New Jersey. The Congressman and former Mayor of Atlantic City carved out a farming operation in the...
The only dead TR I found was on Carranza Road right in front of the memorial. The funny thing was after walking the dogs at Sandy Ridge it was gone. Believe me it was quite squashed.
Or north of Lower Forge.

The Batona Camp pump appears to be working. You could hide a couple of caches along your hike, and that might be more convenient than relying on existing sources.
I know that intersection and I think last spring it wasn't marked up like that. As for the red stripes, I don't know what they mean. I have seen yellow rings and dot going through the woods. They appear to be old.
We hike that area a lot. There are 3 ways to get to Mannis Duck Pond. From the road to the south, the trail you took from the road that goes by LF camp ground, and a small footpath just to the north of the dam. The footpath takes you back to Mines Spung Road, a very nice hike...
It was easy to bust the parties at Quarter Mile, but it never happened. It will just give them ammunition to close off another road., especially now with negotiations over MAP. I cleaned up a lot of broken glass there. My dogs love to run in the sand. Maybe talk to the Park Police but not the...
Were talking about Lower Forge - High Crossing Road. other wise known as Mines Spung Road.

It was never closed, and is not on the MAP. The road off of it that leads to Quarter Mile is closed. We don't need to hand them reasons to close another road.
