    Did it look like the bird in post #3 by 46er? Thats actually a red bellied even though it does have a Partially red head and barely discernible reddish tinge to the belly.The red headed would be in post #6. About the same size but much rarer.

    There shouldn't be any Limestone in the Caldera for sure But I know Wyoming and Montana have the deepest limestone caves in the country.Not that the beds are that thick but their tilted so the caves are actually very deep because their going down dip.Not sure just where the Limestone is but...

    Is the second picture Limestone? I swear it looks like cave rock.but I have seen pics of sandstone out west eroded the same way.

    Red headed Woodpeckers are on the NJ Endangered list. My wife has seen one several times around the house this year,at least her description of it seems to fit.

    Actually true flint is supposedly on ly found in America in the Alibates flint quarries of texas which I be;lieve is a national monument.Most flint referred to by arrowhead hunters is actually chert or jasper,sometimes even obsidian which will make a sharper edge then any steel will.
