'Recovery' of Sand Roads After Sandy/Nor'Easter

a hint is in order. If you ever get a week day off hit the pines while every one else is working.I work shift work so my days off rotate. When I'm in the woods on a week day there is absolutely no one out there. You'll have them to yourself.

I love Bobby Bare and everything he sings except this song.I really love "The Winner" and "Marie Lavoe". I am far from politically correct but dang it I am topographically correct!

    Swimming in clay/sand mines...

I always pick apart movies when you can tell they weren't made on location. That cabin was in the hills and they weren't the forked river mountains either. The blue hole was a mud hole and indeed the blue hole they speak of is not really a blue hole at all like menantico is.It is not bottomless...

Thats wasn't the Blue Hole and that cabin definitely was not in the Barrens and neither was that large rock the girl was sitting one. This reminds me of the song "Millers Cave" where they speak of the it being in the Okefenokee swamp and the everglades in georgia, the glades are nowhere near...

I guess I shouldn't feel so bad about being old and worn out if those blueberry bushes put the wammy on you young fellers too.I think a bad Blueberry swamp is even worse then a bad scrub oak thicket and tie with eight foot high pine plains.

'Recovery' of Sand Roads After Sandy/Nor'Easter

Remember Turbo, wet sand gets harder and better driving.mud on the other hand is better dry,wet means nasty when it comes to mud.Avoid any road that crosses swamps on the topo.If you don't have four wheel try to maintain a steady speed thru sand and don't floor it unless your getting stuck.Once...
