    South Jersey

I say if the majority of the folks talk through their nose and say Joisey then your in north joisey. Also they tend to say wooda when they want a drink. If they say jersey and wooder then your in south jersey, also the nasal thing disappears. PS down here near the bay a new lingo appears.for the...

    Another 5AM outing

I would have thought for sure you would bottom out..Where that road meets the road to constable bridge is a massive sandy area,if you get through that in your car you will be considered immortal! PS don't try it.

    South Jersey

I have always considered the line to run diagonally from South Amboy to the neck of the Delaware river just below Trenton just above the Bristol Bridge but I must admit I have met folks from Monmouth county and even northern Ocean county who have quite nasty North Jersey/NYC...

Photography show captures beauty and diversity of New Jersey Pine Barrens

I have used his site for ID several times.Didn't help me with the narrow fruited beakrush (Rynchosphora? innundata)though, that was a tough one.Oji made we walk the rice paper on that one.

Guy that wooden construction is at a favorite break stop of Bill and mine when we canoe the Mullica. That is our first stop actually, the road into that spot has some awesome heather shots in may.I am amazed you got you car back that far, there is some serious sand back that way.I was there last...

Tree Cutting on Quaker Bridge Rd.

the damselfly seems to be a young female citrine forktail Ischnura hastata. seen from april till november in sphagnum swamps, sedge marshes and vernal ponds. Can be abundant but not readily noticed due it's habit of perching inconspicuously among tangles of thick vegetation.

Tree Cutting on Quaker Bridge Rd.

Guy I couldn't hear what you said over the water. Is the dam made out of wood or rock? How old is it?I have been within yards of it but never noticed it.Is it underwater when the water is up,it appears it would be?

Dumb ass is spot on and I'm sure the state will be sued for not having someone to babysit the renegade swimmers. If it wasn't for the sue happy mentality the area would not be a no swimming area anyway. If we ever start taking personal responsibility for our own actions there would be a lot less...

Your right about not damaging since it is an established road, just inconvenient and inconsiderate for those of us who don't have hip high tires and lift kits.

    Swimming in clay/sand mines...

I guess I was kind of vague. Here is the story.Me and my wife about ten years ago were walking up an old cycle trail that follow tulpehocken creek upstream from about a quarter mile above hawkins bridge. There are some islands up there that I used to renegade camp on and I wanted to show my wife...

    Swimming in clay/sand mines...

As far as I know it is perfectly legal to walk in along the tracks. It is WMA along port cumberland road and when you cross the creek your in Nature Conservancy. The only issue would be the legality of walking the tracks since it is RR property.Everyone does it and I have never heard of any...

Menantico Ponds Walk -Saturday, August 27, 2011

I've swam in probably every sand hole out there and I never leave trash.Stepped on some broken glass in my time and would love to put a hurtin on whoever left it.Why would a person trash their own swimmin hole? Moronic drunks no doubt.

I suspect the reason schooner landing rd access has been closed off is probably due to the bitching and whining of said person that lives next to the access.Don't know this for a fact but it would not surprise me.I do know people were makiing drive arounds for the second gate and that is...

If we could ever decide what is use and what is abuse and then catch the abusers this would be a could idea.Make them hit the Barrens in lets say,July and do community service fixing the very roads they tore up. Perhaps even winches should be made illegal to posses in the state forest. Many lazy...

Wow! That was awesome! The two opposite points of view of imkms and Ben. I have popped tires in potholes that should have been fixed by the state or county and never bothered to sue knowing it would cost more to do so then what I got in return and they would probably drag the case out till I was...

I personally haven't gotten busted yet and I never wear a belt in the woods, what if a snake crosses the road?I have to be able to get out of the vehicle fast enough to assist him don't I?What is the maximum speed someone is going to be doing down a sand road anyway?10mph 15?I have done 35 or 40...

    A new stuck vehicle video

While getting vastly irritated when I get almost stuck in a hole that was no problem the week before because some A hole decided to use it to play in even though it is in the middle of a well used road I have to admit that as far as I know that is not illegal, just inconsiderate as Ben stated.It...
