    NJ State Policy for Geocaching

Most people are lazy and many have a natural aversion to a stick in the eye. Therefore, the amount of remote woodland disturbance is self regulating and is inversely proportional to the distance measured from a cache to a road. (Big distance = Small disturbance) Our most remote cache was placed...

    NJ State Policy for Geocaching

You got that right. I have been very impressed and pleased with the progress the State has made on illegal dumping in State Forests and WMA's of late. I would really like to see the few slugs that are going to be delegated to the NJ Geocache Review Team be redirected to the NJ Let's Get Shingles...

    NJ State Policy for Geocaching

No Gibby. Below is the text of that bill. Even as slow as the wheels of the lawmakers move, I don't think it would take 11 years to see action from that bill. I just showed all of this Geocaching policy crap to my wife and she is furious. http://www.njleg.state.nj.us/2004/bills/a2000/1930_I1.HTM

    NJ State Policy for Geocaching

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed Geocaching and we have several planted in very remote areas of the Pines under her screen name. People that have found our most remote ones have always been appreciative of the beating that they endured to find them. I suppose we are finished planting them now...

    NJ State Policy for Geocaching

The State can't properly staff its parks, can't afford to place trash containers in parks and forests, can't fund the preservation of its historic resources but they can find the time and designate staff to monitor geocache placement ? BULLS%IT !

    Atsion: Old and Renewed

Hexamer Maps are the most amazingly detailed maps and extremely useful for performing ASTM Phase I site assessments. The problem is their limited mapping areas. Next to them, Sanborn mappings are very good too, with very good coverage. As for child labor, I say bring it back. The army of...

State considers 4 bills to expand hunting

Hey !! Fight nice you two ! Realistically Bob, how often, if ever, have your outings been disrupted or re-routed by encounters with hunters ? Our numbers are not as great as everyone seems to think and our sport, as German indicates, is extremely safe. (I am only being facetious with my Duck...

Now I have an even more compelling reason to visit the museum. 46'er piqued my interest a few weeks ago with his post regarding the Noyes Museum. Thanks Jerseyman and 46'er !

Good point. Haven't seen it happen myself but I have heard a few stories about people bow hunting State Forests on Sunday thinking they were legal.

    A Mink Caching Food w/Video

While enjoying a cold and uneventful muzzleloader hunt yesterday afternoon, I was entertained for about twenty minutes by a mink working a stream edge. Someone had apparently killed a deer a day or two earlier and had placed the gut pile in this shallow stream to try and minimize the disturbance...
