    Old Days at the Atsion Lake

    When you swam at Atsion back then, were there some people who had a little trailer set up near the beach that they sold hot dogs and sodas out of? Everyone called the family "The Gypsies". The (very small) beach was right off of Rte. 206, and the water was extremely cedar-y back then.

    What a shame. On a hot summer Sunday, there'd be whole families standing around in the water just to watch the canoers get stuck - or dump. Free entertainment for all.

    Hello! (First post here). I see that foam at the canoe landing across from Atsion Lake in both winter and summer. I've always wondered what it was from. It sure is funky looking, but I sit in the water there and my dogs swim there, and I've never been afraid of it. Should I be?
