I think a little farther south the terrain is more conducive to a cave. Where your pointer is is relatively flat.

I tried the switching map tp map, didn't work well for me. What I'd really like to see is one overlayed the other. See who's BS'ing who. The reference to ACA, was attempting to sell a leaky bag of ... Just an example, not going there.

Thank you. The guy up north says the rock is about 10' from shore, reachable from shore w/o getting your feet wet. I wonder if my rock is from a later survey of this line.

Can you plot this lat/lon on the map. I tried, but it's not in decimal format.

From that link I got a line on, Journal kept by John Lawrence while running the division line between East and West Jersey, 1743. If I'm lucky I get my hands on a copy.

This guy did a lot of research up in Sussex Co. https://www.facebook.com/page/127516164094586/search/?q=Division%20Line%20East-West%20Jersey His Lat/Lon didn't come close to mine, but he has the correct rock with PL chiseled in it.

I wish this picture/map had a scale on it. I went to that cemetary, it's about 1/2 mileish from my rock.

I was reviewing my old posts and came across this one. Looking at this map I realized this location is very near a modern survey marker I found, photographed, and posted here. (But I have no clue where) I wonder if that surveyor is the one who removed the Hanover Stone.

Back in 2015 I happened to be near where the Lawrence Line intersects the Delaware River between NY and PA. I photographed this stone with a hole in it. I believe this is THAT stone, but I didn't find any initials in the stone. I lack the map skills to take this lat/lon and plot it on a map to...

Is Martha Rd part of the Batona Trail?

I wonder if the first stone was ever standing upright. Looks to have a tapered end, on the right side as looking at the picture.

This was very interesting reading. Somewhere along the way I got lost. You found a stone, but missed the well and second stone. You went back and found both. You went back again and the first stone was missing? Or did you locate it again?

When you leave Pittsburgh head east on Rt. 30. There's Ft. Ligonier by Latrobe, Flight 93 Memorial, and a few barns with murals painted on the sides. AND it's a pretty ride. Rt. 30 goes over the Mountains rather than through them like 76 does.
