welcome hi welcome to the forums..you can find them very helpful with info..i bought the book GHOST TOWNS AND OTHER QUIRKY PLACES IN THE NEW JERSEY PINE BARRENNS BY BARBARA SOLEM-STULL. that book is great even gives you maps to where everything is.just a useful tid bit.

hi ...i was just reading the list of forges and furnaces that ben did..it was very usefull..thanks..i noticed that there was a forge in bordentown...i lived in bordentown for many years,the first 6yrs of my life right by the black's creek,can you tell me where the forge once was and is there...

pics of the piece of iron found at hampton furnace .....looks like a piece of cannonball to me.can anyone tell me what it is.first time putting up photos .hope i did it right.

hi e1.im a newbie here.went to atsion and hampton furnace on sunday...found something that looks like a piece of cannonball at hampton furnace..they didnt make cannonballs there did they ..i think just at batsto..might be a piece of iron slag...whatever it is its pretty heavy..i will take a pic...
