On March 31st I have a wedding reception in Atco at 5pm. I was wondering if Atsion is the closest organized hiking area or is there something closer? Also is there a place to take showers at Atsion or local truck stop with shower facilities in the area? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I have been photographing waterfalls in NJ the past couple months and was wondering if there are any in South Jersey.

I am all for long trails,but I really see no purpose in this one as legal camping options are next to none.156 miles and the only camping option is at Kittatiny State park? What is the purpose?

Maybe conspiracy or myth but nevertheless I find ir interesting that both Pine Barrens areas are affiliated with time travel.........

While looking at a State map I noticed Pigeon Swamp but when searching the net did not find out too much about it.

Not much to go by in this shot............He slithered away from me on the Dand R Canal This one was in Wharton State Forest and he was madder than hell........... This one I know is a Timber Rattle Snake.....He was Up at the Water Gap..

Couple shots from my day. First a short list of things I did not see. 1)Ticks 2)Chiggers 3)Bears 4) Big Foot 5)The Jersey Devil 6)Sexual Deviates 7)Gang Members 8) Many other people 9)Rain Atsion Trail Start Rope Swing or noose? Batsto trail ends.

Did this hike Saturday and did not get any ticks or chiggers. Also saw several others out on the Batona.

Anyone hear of these stories or care to share?

I was wondering what everyone drags along with them in the outdoors. I use to carry everything but the kitchen sink now I carry duct tape and tweezers and thats about it.

I was wondering if anyone has or knows if purifying the water from the bogs and streams is a feasable idea? Or should I just carry as much as possible and restock at say Batsto? Thanks....
