The thing is I think it's strange to have the turntable where it is but why I guess it worked for them.. as for the other track at that wye or turntable, if you go across the street and into the entrance of atsion lake Park, you can see the opening from where the atco track would have been.. I...

It's really interesting about the history there..

Here is what the area of the turntable looks like now. Also found a wire jumper attached to the tracks as a jumper around the steel plate holding track together and a newer looking RR pin..

H Hello.. I went back to atsion to see the old abandoned railroad, I tried looking for the turntable as everyone mentioned but I did not find it.. If you don't mind me asking would you or anyone know exactly where it is? Sorry to ask but Im interested in abandoned material.. thank you.

Unless he was trying to explain the old tracks up on 206 heading to Vincentown but 206 doesn't bend after rt 38 heading to Vincentown

I didn't know that there were two separate crossings... Hmm interesting.. I found a post on Facebook that showed a freight train crossing over 206 back in 1973.. what rail they were using I don't know.. Thanks for the information.

I was trying to understand that myself... I don't remember tracks at the bend either.. I told him that unless it was somewhere else he mistaken.. it's all good

Also I was just told by friends that live in Indian Mills last night that there were old tracks just north of atsion lake where rt206 bends to the right

By looking at the map, there is something circular and the old tracks run close to it.also It doesn't look that far off on rt 206. Which kinda looks like it's around the furnace.. maybe this weekend if the weather is nice I may take a ride up there..

Looks like the roads are sand, probably not possible by car but I'll have to see better if I get there
