Was going over the registration and there are some interesting courses, different than last year, some the same.
This year:
Ted Gordon-rare and threatened plants
Michael Geller-woody plants of the PB
Emile DeVito--migrating neotropical birds of the PB
Andy Windisch-fire ecology
and the usual Michael Fowler of ghost townsbogs and legends etc--always a great presentation!
John Bunnell-frogs and toads, (another great presentation)
etc.
Industrial Revolution of the Pines
Soil of the Pines
Turtles of the Pines
Foodways of the Pines
Blueberries and Cranberries
etc.
*Teachers can earn continuing education credits****
Joe and I went last year, and saw a number of people there--Becky Free from TNC, Russ Jeulg from PPA, Bob Zampella from Pinelands Commission-none teaching classes, but attending. I know that Russ is attending again this year, as are we. It's a fun day!

I learned this: with the exception of Michael Fowler (a must see for his now and then photos, like Guys! author of Harrisville book), if you know a
LOT about a topic, then pick something you don't know as much about. Courses like general plants of the pines last year were a little too slow for me, but Ted Gordon's would not b, nor Emile DeVito's, etc. OTOH, I learned a ton from John Bunnell's presentation on frogs and toads.
