All,
The "State of New Jersey 1931 Official Road Map" I won on ebay is really nice. It measures approx. 18 x 36 and is on heavy paper. It's in pretty good shape. It is yellowed and one crease is worn. It is a beautifully done map and I can't do it justice here so you will have to see it on our next outing.
At the time of the map's printing, the "Hudson River Bridge" (George Washington Br) was still under construction. They paint a very idealistic picture of how it will benefit the traveler. I happened to cross it today. Little did they know the nightmare it has become.

As Renee had pointed out, the cover art is very interesting and it even had a page to help identify road signs and hand signals.
