A nice day at Barnegat Light

Did you go down for the Snowy today?

We started down there with a stop at Brig and got side tracked by the Crossbills. The male Crossbill was deep in the tree, impossible to get a good shot. The dikes were finally opened; waves of shorebirds, looked like Dunlin, were coming in, one SEO, got a butt shot as it carried its lunch away, 2 Baldies, huge numbers of Brant, Scaup and Canvsback rafting in the bay and 3 Bobwhites. Thinking of going back tomorrow.

Must have been a fantastic day given the weather. I hung in resting a bit.
Thanks for sharing the very many wonderful pics. I would never have expected to see a mink out here. Balsy little chap.

Great photos, really enjoyed them. I've never seen a mink but I have been aware that they are around. Just haven't been lucky with one yet.
