Rumor has it there was a crash recently on 70 in front of the Lebanon Lakes development, and one on Sunday morning at 5:30AM at Chatsworth Lake where the driver fell asleep on the way home from AC. Anyone know anything?

I saw the crash on route 70, if it is the one you heard of. I saw an overturned mini van. That is all I know. I remember thinking, I hope there werent any kids involved. It was heading East, but then again it might have spun around and ended up on the wrong side of the road.

Why do you ask Guy? You're not one of those morbid ambulance chasers are you?

(just kidding, I know you're not)

I saw one tonight also at trinity ridge and route 70. A SUV crashed in the woods.

Guess It's Not And Accident But.....

My wife's van caught fire yesterday. Just stepping out to lunch when she called from on the way back from a show with all my kids. She pulled into a WaWa nver made it to a parking spot, called me while pulling the kids out letting me know there was smoke, last thing she said was Oh' My God there are flames!! and hung up.
One can imagine my state of mind. She had said the store in Erial and I only know of one so That's where I went to......fast. When she did call back she was safe in the store and told me fire was worse. Here's the kicker, this particular store as it was the one I thought is across an intersection from Erial Fire Co. They were out, saw it quick came over put it out.... done.
I got there to slightly upset kids, more bummed out though. My youngest jumped in my arms and said matter of fact " Daddy our car is burning "
My daughter just hugged me.
Now the kicker. The A/C pump locked up probably just real hot, burned the belt, belt caught up a little oil on the block and burned some plastic. Made for what looked like a mean fire but attended quickly it was not bad. Left alone a few more moments though it could have gone engulfed I suppose. Not a mar on any paint and although the other belts were beat, I limped it to my mechanic. Checking over today just to be sure no dangers exist. Putting new belts on of course. The A/C lines never broke and my charge is good but of course when I get another pump all the seals and charge need to be addressed. All in all the luck of where all this happened was beyond amazing and and the mere fact that there is not even the smell of smoke in the vehicle and... it functions is incredible.
My wife never even hesitated when the smoke began and pulled off to start the kids out ( how the hell she did this and was calling me too is crazy ).
I am thankfull of course and the kid's had a good afternoon as their cousins still came over for an afternoon visit. Watching everyone happy, playing and intact, I went back to work to surely due for some catching up and such.
Just another day right?

All........
We all have shit every day and we can be guilty of letting said shit get in front of us. I do. But nothing, not a damn thing matters. Nothing is a problem and at best most of our perceptions of a problem are merely an inconvenience. I once read that not the worst thing you can read, hear, see in a movie, etc. can not compare to the horrors you can imagine happening to your own children. I was shaken, even knowing my wife had them o.k. I just knew she did, but that didn't make my thoughts any better. This was fortunate and lucky, many people aren't that lucky.
Today, enjoy your day for me please, love your loved ones, don't let the shit get in front of you and every darned one of you with kids young or grown, or kids coming, love them several times as much. They are your everything. If you do nothing at all special, just tell them you love them.
And today will be special.

Wow, glad everyone is ok. I got a similar call last month from my daughter. She was in an accident, her and my son were both in the car. The hectic dead line at work suddenly lost all importance. I drove to the accident scene with my heart in my throat, thank God they were both ok. These things sure put life in perspective, don't they?
