FRANKLIN TWP. — How it got there, no one knows, but a fisherman pulled a more than 2-foot-long American alligator out of Franklinville Lake Monday.
Police Lt. Mike Rock said the unidentified fisherman called police, who took charge of the gator until Gloucester County Animal Control officers could pick it up. Rock said he understands Animal Control sent the alligator to a reptile shelter in Pennsylvania.
