Recently, I received a copy of what appers to be the first edition of a new magazine called "Jersey Man." Either someone from this site or the people at the magazine added my name to the list because I did not sign up for it. The magazine is quite good and I read it at work a few weeks ago. Today, after running out of reading material I picked it back up and scanned thru it again. There is an article on the Amatol Speedway and while reading it a second time I realized I must have missed a paragraph. The article mentions a video of the inaugural race is available to view online from a British produced newsreal from the day. I don't believe it has been mentioned before so if you have not viewed it you might want to check it out.

That's Amatol? I have seen the track outline in the aerials, but I had no conception it was that huge. It looks like Indy.

Thanks for the post. I had known about amatol for a while but i had never seen any actual video, even by todays standards they are really moving.

Guy, Excellent video, those cars were really moving. In the magazine the man that grows the orchids is the township engineer here in Pemberton Twp. Back in the winter he went to an orchid competition in Japan.
