Lake Lilly is filling--up, once again, with "bird poop"... Now they want to aerate the pond with a pump to "discourage" eutrification. Wanna bet it doesn't work/"last"? They did something similar, years ago, alongside the Cousins Restaurant on Bargaintown Road (EHT) --- spouted GREEN water, the fish were "belly--up"...

The retention basin at the Rio Grande exit of the parkway is too full? Too much water? Stop complaining! Those that live "on the point" know better --- or have you forgotten "reverse osmosis"? It could come to Rio Grande soon: Wait for the "drawdown" caused by the next "Monster Casino."

Is this the Lilly Lake in Oceanville? Poor pond has had troubles non-stop for as long as I can remember.

Yes, the same. The pond was on the verge of disappearing. The Lillies, for which the pond was named, had long disappeared. Someone got the idea of dredging... Cleared of decades of muck, the lillies gradually came back.

Like the pond in Mount Laurel (?), the geese and ducks like it there. They get plenty of food, much in the form of grass. Their droppings are causing the pond to eutrophy.

Supposedly, many, many years ago the pond was connected, in some way, with the marshes, and the springs evidently supplied enough fresh water to prevent eutrophication... ???
