All,
After our trip last week with Ben, I came home and was looking over the tracks from my GPS, and noticed there was what appeared to be an interesting place that I had never visited before. I don't spend much time in the woods west of 206 in the Hammonton area, so I had never come across this place before. We had driven right past it last week and it never dawned on me what was there.
So this morning Jessica and I made an early trip south on 206 almost to Hammonton and headed into the woods along the JCRR. We parked along the tracks and walked the short distance to our intended location and found exactly what I was looking for. If you have not walked along the JCRR near Hammonton, you more than likely have never visited the RR bridge across the Albertson Branch of the Nescochague Creek. This bridge is as big as the Batsto River bridge near Hampton Furnace, and is nestled in a cedar swamp. It is a wonderful place that I want to visit in the summer.
On the tracks leading to the bridge, a 50 foot section has been removed by a torch, possibly to stop anyone from using the tracks to cross the bridge in a vehicle. Today that is virtually impossible, but in the late 70's and early 80's that could have happened.

We left there and on one of the paved roads in the vicinity, we saw a Fox running across the field. Shortly after we found this. It must be just a property marker.

We then crossed 206 and I was able to drive my car through the woods to just near the Pleasant Mills church close to Batsto. On a side road we were stopped by a downed tree.

We drove the almost hour ride back home and arrived here by noon.
