According to some pamphlets I have, there is Willow Oak in the Atlantic County Park at Estell Manor. (That's where the Estellville Glassworks ruins are located.) Personally I've never seen any Willow Oak anywhere, and I'm wondering if anyone that reads this board HAS seen any.
Thanks,
Barry

Willow oaks are around, Barry. They are not as common as other oaks in the pine barrens, though. They are mostly found in the maritime forests, closer to the bay. They can often be identified from a distance by their finer branching pattern than other oaks. I live in Little Egg Harbor and keep finding seedings from them popping up in my yard but I'll be dammed if I can locate the parent tree!

14 years ago I worked at the Chestnut Lake campground in Port Republic. While I was there I thought I saw Willow Oaks there but was not completely sure about it. I only worked there for 11 months and have not been back since I quit all those years ago. I think that's probably what they were- Willow Oaks.
Thanks for your input.
