Wondering if anyone is planning any trips in sept/oct in bass river/wharton or neighboring areas. I bought a Blazer ZR2 to replace my old blazer and I wanna do some more exploring now that I've got some extra ground clearance.

I am assuming (maybe incorrectly) that you are talking about a group of 4x4 owners looking for places to ride down roads that challenge the vehicles. I may be wrong, but I think most of the members here are not into the heavy 4x4 riding. The vast majority I believe are just interested in the pines themselves, and if a puddle confronts them they will make a decision what to do.

However, you may find a few members who do that, so you may get some replies.

Actually a combination of exploration and some 4x4ing. It's a stock vehicle so I'm certainly not talking mud pitts. But I've made trips to nash's cabin out calico road to shamong road and countless jaunts to marthas and even taken marths furnace road all the way back out to I think it's 542(the road harrisville is off) Also one day I believe I found washington but there are some things that have still elluded me such as jamamia(sp) hill and things of that nature. So a general expedition I mentioned other 4x4 owners simply because in a group it's somewhat easier to attempt those uncertain puddles when you know theres someone behind you to give you a tug if you happen to get stuck I know on more than one occasion I wanted to explore a region but didn't because I wasn't 100% confident I could get through on my own and not need a tow.

My main focus is actually on photography and have several hundred pines pics so far in my library but always like to update them and though that perhaps here I'd find some people who've been to things I've yet to find.

Jemima is a nice place. I was even there with my car, so you should have no problem getting there.

Get a topo map at Atsion or Batsto and it shows you right where they are. You can even download some older ones on this site.

Funny last time I went to find Jemima I had one of the USGS maps and still manage to miss it somehow got very lost and somehow wound up at the caranza memorial which was a feat for entering the forrest close to new gretna

I just thought it'd be pretty cool if a small group were going out I'd get to see some places I might not otherwise find and get some new pictures.

Do you have a GPS?

Guy

No.
I may have access to one though I'll have to see next time I'm down there.
I actually live in PA now but grew up in that area and my parents are still down there. They have a handheld one from BREMSAR I'd have to see if it is still working.
