People living near Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst are being advised that artillery drills at the fort's ranges could generate loud booms and possible ground shaking through June 14.
Base officials said the test firing by several Marine Corps Reserve Units will cease by 11 p.m. daily.
"It is important to note that noise from the ranges may travel farther during overcast weather conditions," the base said in a statement.
"The joint base works very hard to ensure training has minimal impact on its local communities," the statement said. "JB MDL is grateful for the overwhelming support it has
received throughout the years."
Anyone with concerns should contact the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst Public Affairs Office at (609) 754-2104.
