What they fail to mention is the fact that it was torn down soon after the legalization of gambling in NJ. The Traymore was the largest hotel in the world, if I remember correctly. There was a time when Atlantic City was a city of grand hotels. Most, if not all, of these were torn down. But I do have postcards of them. It's strange that a building on the National Register could be torn down.

I know--the three stars I believe indicate that the building no longer exists. I had found pictures of it online, and it was an impressive building. We lose so much history...preserving history is good for anti-sprawl and the environment, ya know! ;)

By the way, I forgot to mention that I found a brick from this brick company at Seaview. It's being used as a door stop for the pump house on the Bay course. It's one of the IB Co bricks.
