Hey I'm sort of a novice in the certain areas of the pines but I have thought that it would be a cool trip to take some dirt roads from Atsion to Batsto Village to check that area out and maybe even to the Fork. Any particular advice? I have heard that constable bridge is washed out so I was thinking that i could take Middle Road instead of Mullica River Road. I'd be coming from 206. I've never really gone deeper down those trails/roads than the Quaker Bridge so any advice on what to look out for would be appreciated. I have an Explorer V6 w 4x4. Thanks

If you are traveling on Quaker Bridge Road from 206, cross Quaker Bridge Road and make the first right just across the bridge. That will take you to Batsto.

To make things easier for yourself, use the Live Maps that Ben provides on this site.

Or download USAPhotoMaps and use that in your computer. It is a great program and a must for traveling and searching out things in the pines.

Also, stop at Batsto and for $5 you can buy the topo map of that area and others.
