I posted this photo in a different thread.
The Atsion tract apparently reached across Carranza road close by the sawmill that a few of us discovered on a PBX hike at the end of 2005. Soon after a geocache was placed there.

Today we went looking for the Commissioner Stone and actually found one of them. This was as the photo shows placed there on 10/23/1856. I believe it was painted yellow in 1982 when Friendship Bogs was purchased. They painted the stone and state markers when surveying. I doubt they knew the history of the stone.
I believe the text in the first photo is misleading. I doubt they would put three stones at one location. I would think there were three stones placed on the property with one at this location where I found it. I have no idea where the others would be, but I will work on that.
