I am going to buy one for my daughter. Like everything else electronic, the number of brand models makes me dizzy and tired when I start to research. Have any of you already done that dirty work? If you wanted to spend less than $200, what automotive GPS would you get?

I have a Garmin 750, bought it a couple years back. It does everything I need, but it has since been discontinued. My son has a Garmin 205W, does about what mine does. Bought it last year for his Christmas gift, it may already have been discontinued. Both were under $200 at time of purchase. Both can use Boyd's maps. i prefer the wide screen versions; IMO easier to use when on the road.

Here are the Garmins under $200 available at Best Buy. You can probably do better shopping around tomorrow.

She will be happy with it. I used my wife's TomTom last night to take Jennifer to a friends house and without that and not using Google I would have had a problem. Everyone should have one.
