The other day one of my co-workers sent me a link to this program:
http://freegeographytools.com/2008/...on-from-current-position-bearing-and-distance
It allows one to input a lat/lon position and then project an azimuth and distance from that point.
The lat/lon is then calculated and dispalyed for the projected point.
It is a useful tool for calculating search points for those that are working in lat/lon, as in nand held GPS, instead of grid coordinates.
Most of my work is performed in grid coordinates but I still use Army Corps software to go back and forth between grid and lat/lon.
I forwarded this to Teegate the other day and he thinks that it will be useful for his search work.
The website looks interesting and I need to explore it some more.
