A little bit of something for almost eyerybody.rt.539 south to tuckerton had a lot of bicyclists today pedaling towards tuckerton,a big gathering of cars and people out exploring north of the bombing range, taking pics, etc.great bay boulevard in tuckerton in rhe marshes, numerous white herons, back in tuckerton the seaport musuem is having and bluegrass and barbecue festival tomorrow, stopped a mile north of the bombing range, walked across to the south side up a road to a little hill, real nice view of the ghastly landscape.Proceeded to warren grove ,turning left on sim place road to beaver dam road through the wildlife area, road nice till the swamp area, washouts, long rut,but passable,on to the red road, past the foundations a mile norh of oswego lake, stopped a bit, past the lake to rt.563 north, pine barrens canoe rental was packed.on to speedwell road, road in great shape, stopped a while at friendship, then on to sandy ridge, stopped a bit again, carranza road was hard packed, not even a bit of dust. Then i wanted to test my third operated right knee on the stone hills, went to an open area, very steep, there was a light brown trail going down to the bottom, the top of the trail being blocked by a large log, walked down, then ran back up,a little huff and a puff, but the knee felt fine, did a little rocky imitation in celebration, also saw a large rock at the top,and other small ones on the trail, then got back in the car to go home, past purgatory(house),wanted to see the devil on rt.541 north of medford but it was not there,i guess the neighbors won out.All in all a very rewarding outing.

I was on that road today and did not notice it was missing. I know the neighbors were not happy about it.

I will have to check again when in the area.

I may be wrong but I think that is a sign that seems to be all over anymore mentioning the person or company that picks up the trash along the road. I guess one registers with the state or county and so many times a year you are responsible to clean up. You get a sign with your name on it.

Hopefully, someone else will have input.

Nice report. I was in part of those areas yesterday myself. I logged well over 125 miles for the day. I love the sites along the Friendship Bridge and East Sandy Ridge Road. During my outing yesterday, I got into a verbal auguement with one of the drivers from Mick's Canoe Rental. Basically, they had (4) of those buses/trailers block access across Hawkins Bridge.

Amazing. There is a parking area as we all know where all of those trailers should have been stowed, then he starts an argument with you after you complained about it? How ignorant

They just drop off at the bridge. But you're right, they should not block the road. They can use the parking area to wait while one trailer unloads.

Their thinking is probably mass unloading to get back to the store or their homes,at least 90%of their business has been made for the day, granted, they are up early, dealing with various personalities, until pickup time, they are work free, but i wonder if besides nascar or anyone else if the state park police(nothing but kudos for them)came upon this if something would have been said about the blockage?

I was actually hoping to see a Ranger during my travels, but no luck. I think what bothered me the most is that I patiently waited 100 yards or so prior to the bridge. He gave me the "just one minute" motion which was fine, however after 10-minutes when I backed up and pulled over, he decided to give me some grief because I parked where they're supposed to turn around (according to him). I then questioned his lack of respect for having all the van block access across the bridge. That's when he started giving me a rash of sh**, about him trying to run a business, etc. I explained that I can appreciate all of that, but there is absolutely no reason to block access. This exchange went on for several minutes.

Yes, he has every right to run a business, but with intelligence, dignity and respect, not with stupidity and no foresight,he knows people use that road,i use it quite often going from frienship to rt.563 and vice-versa,like steve said,he could have parked three of the transports in the parking lot, unloading one at a time,he did not,he has no right to block that road or any other, intelligence was truly lacking,i also am thinking how many other times this has happened, and also at how many other places.
