BaseCamp update warnng

Yesterday updates were offered to both Basecamp and my Oregon 450 when I opened Basecamp 3.2.2 .
The new versions are Oregon 450 5.50, Basecamp 3.3.1.
I installed both updates. When I opened Basecamp 3.3.1 and pluged in my Oregon I received the message "There was a problem communicating with Oregon450. There was a problem reading the following files"
It then listed all of my .gpx files.
I had basecamp 3.2.2 running on another computer and it read my 450 files just fine.
I will try to chase this problem down.

Personally, I have learned over the years not to update any Garmin software/firmware unless it claims to be a fix for a specific problem I'm having.

That is excellent advice for any software/firmware.

I agree. I did the firmware update on my 60CSX and now I can't install GPX files into it in my computer. The GPS crashes and continuously beeps. However, Jessica can upload them using her laptop just fine. Strange!

I took it for a hike, came home and it opened in Basecamp without any errors. Go figure. If you update, make sure you backup everything first.
